WHAT IS THE SPRINKLER ?
The sprinkler is an automatic fire protection system that is automatically activated in the event of a fire starting. It can trigger a fire alarm and extinguish or contain the fire. The installation structure is a hydraulic assembly made up of two main parts : a control station and a pipeline network, under permanent air or water pressure.
Advantages of the sprinkler :
- Its operation makes it possible to place it among the rare security systems which combine both early triggering and autonomy on the start of a fire: a perfect combo to limit damage.
- Its autonomy allows to control the fire without human intervention at the start of a fire. It also helps prevent third parties.
- Its responsiveness and autonomous management make it possible to have a considerably reduced impact on the environment (necessary quantity of water used, etc.)
HOW DOES THE SPRINKLER WORK ?
The sprinkler heads are installed at the level of the pipes, in your ceilings, to allow them to act quickly in contact with heat.
A sprinkler head opens as soon as there is a sharp increase in temperature, due to the heat that a fire gives off. This is when the system kicks in : a predetermined amount of water depending on your area to be covered is poured out.
The sprinklers work together : when one head is not open enough, others are triggered to control the fire. The passage of water through the networks triggers an audible alarm and an electric alarm. The water circulation in the networks and the sprinkling are generally ensured by a set of pumps drawing from cuves.

WHAT IS A DELUGE SYSTEM ?
A deluge system is an automatic system of intensive sprinkling, for a fire that can quickly grow. This system is equipped with nozzles.
Like the sprinklers, a deluge system can be applied to any type of environment, for example to protect external containers or internally in theatre halls.
HOW DOES THE DELUGE SYSTEM WORK ?
An electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic detection releases the opening of a deluge valve. Using pressure from pumps, water is sent to the open valves of the system.

WHAT ARE THE FIRE HOSES ?
Fire hoses are an effective item of first action used in firefighting, whilst waiting for a more suitable extinguishing agent or the fire service to arrive.
The aim of fire hose installation is to allow for a quick intervention, before or in addition to other stronger protecting solutions. Indeed, with its length (20 or 30 meters) and its reach (3 meters of spray), fire hoses are not able to extinguish a fire of great height.
You can find them in establishments open to the public, in industrial and logistics structures.
The system is made up of several parts :
- A shut-off valve for the water supply
- An axially fed wire feeder
- An elementary length of 20 m or 30 m of semi-rigid pipe that does not flatten, allowing it to be used without fully unrolling it
- A diffuser tap
HOW DO WORK FIRE HOSES ?
Fire hoses are big flexible pipes. Their water source comes from either a tank dedicated to fire protection, or directly from the city network. They must be placed in an accessible place, so that the nozzles can cover the entire surface of your building.
